I love watching the flow of the river. In ancient practices of meditation the river provided an excellent source for finding peace in your mind. It allows you to watch something float into your consciousness and back out without causing upheaval. The river meanders softly to a constant flow, and whatever may be going on comes... and then it goes. And although it seems peaceful, there is a constant force that is unstoppable and inevitable. Worries and anxiety comes... and then it goes. Good times come... and then they go. This is the way of the river. This is the way of water. It is refreshing, peaceful, powerful and challenging.
